Current Programs
Health career programs currently available through the Health Career Center include:
- Residency in Pharmacy Practice: The Residency in Pharmacy Practice is designed to develop the skills required to solve medication-related problems. The resident will develop effective communication skills, and learn how to provide and organize clinical pharmacy services, as well as plan for and implement new services.
- Radiology Technology: LBCC is only the third school in Oregon to provide this training. Previously, local residents had to travel to Portland or Klamath Falls for comparable courses. This is an 18-month certification program sited in Lebanon.
- Registered Nursing: Nursing students will utilize the clinical simulation lab to demonstrate competencies at specified intervals throughout the program.
- Pharmacy Technology
- Phlebotomy
- Nurse Assistant Training Program: Two sessions are offered each year. This is a Samaritan Health Services (SHS) class. Information can be found through the SHS Professional Development Department.
- Sterile Processing Instruction: This prepares students to sit for a certification examination.
- Graduate Nurse Transition Program: This Samaritan Health Services program is specially designed for those who have recently graduated from a registered nursing program. It provides guided, hands-on experience during the transition period between nursing school and on-the-job, on-your-own patient care. Not only does the program train new nurses to SHS standards of care; but it also provides nurses with the confidence they need to provide the best possible care to a diverse population of patients.
