Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Recovering from a heart attack or other cardiac episode can be overwhelming, but you and your family don't have to go through it alone. It's easy and convenient to take part in the cardiac rehabilitation program at Samaritan Health Services.

Cardiac rehabilitation provides motivation and support for your recovery. With structured, monitored exercises and heart-related education, you can develop a healthy lifestyle by identifying personal risk factors to reduce the chances of experiencing another cardiac incident. Our staff will work with your primary care physician to obtain the written referral and any necessary insurance authorization regarding your individual medical history and needs.

Cardiac rehabilitation includes:

  • Safe, structured exercise guided by cardiac rehabilitation staff
  • Telemetry monitoring of cardiovascular parameters during exercise
  • Tailored programs to fit individual needs
  • Heart disease prevention and education
  • Dietary education, advice and heart-healthy recipes
  • Blood pressure and pulse checks before, during and after exercise
  • Social interaction
