Outpatient Surgery
Today, time spent in a hospital has decreased due to improved anesthesia, new surgical techniques, and a greater understanding of your body's ability to quickly heal. Over half of all surgeries at Albany General for children and adults can be performed on an outpatient, or “same day” basis. This is good news for you. We know you want safe, convenient and economical surgical care. You also want the advantage of the hospital's specialty staff and its sophisticated equipment if a simple procedure become unexpectedly complex. The outpatient surgery center is located on the west end of the hospital.
