The Physical Rehabilitation Department is located on the east end of the first floor of the main hospital building.
Program Overview
The rehabilitation team at Samaritan Albany General is a group of medical professionals in four distinct specialty areas, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language, and Social Work. This team works together to restore you to independence after debilitating injuries from car or sporting accidents as well as medical events such as stroke or head injury. Rehab staff members have an average of 20 years experience working with specialty areas including orthopedics and spine, TMJ, swelling and lymphedema, neurological dysfunction, swallowing disorders, and return to work issues.
The team recognizes the importance of treating you as a whole person and works hard to make the rehab environment positive and upbeat.
