Samaritan Endoscopy CenterThe Samaritan Endoscopy Center, a partnership between Samaritan Health Services and Corvallis Gastroenterology, is home to four high-tech endoscopy suites, and spans 8,750 square feet. “The expansion of our endoscopic capabilities from the hospital to this new facility will help us serve an increasing patient volume as well as accommodate more physicians trained to do this job. This improved access will provide convenience for our patients as they won’t experience lengthy wait times for our services,” said Surin Vasdev, MD, the Center’s medical director. “And the larger facility and more physicians will satisfy the community needs for colon cancer screening and other endoscopic services.” Endoscopic procedures play an important role in diagnosing medical conditions such as cancer of the colon or rectum, which can be identified by a colonoscopy. Likewise, upper endoscopy enables physicians to look inside the esophagus, stomach and small intestine to discover the reason for swallowing difficulties, reflux, abdominal or chest pain, indigestion and bleeding. “Our goal is to be the leading provider of endoscopy services in the area. To do that we’ve developed a patient-centered environment staffed with highly trained people who are committed to providing exceptional, quality care to all of our patients,” said Vasdev. Physicians offering services at the Center include Christopher Bombeck, MD; Judith Csanky, MD; Terrance Hill, MD; and Surin Vasdev, MD. |
