They will be available to assist you long after you've recovered from your weight loss surgery.
Bobbie is the program manager at the Samaritan Bariatric Program. Prior to joining Samaritan, she was a nurse working in the intensive care units at hospitals in Phoenix, AZ and Portland, OR. Bobbie has been with Samaritan for 20 years, beginning her tenure in the emergency department. In 2004, after realizing the growing need, she was a key player in starting the Samaritan Bariatric Surgery Program. She graduated from Good Samaritan Linfield in nursing and is currently finishing a degree in health care administration.
Barbara, who is ServSafe certified, is a clinical dietician with the Samaritan Bariatric Program. Her primary duties consist of bariatric nutrition assessment and therapy. Before she came to Samaritan, she was the director of nutritional services at Wesley Health Care Center, Inc. in Saratoga Springs, NY. She received her Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration at Sage Graduate School and her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition at Russell Sage College, both in Troy, NY.
Susan assists patients through each step of the Samaritan Bariatric Program, from approval for surgery to after care and follow up work. She also teaches the monthly informational class for those interested in the program and coordinates the program support group.
