Senior Companion Program
Serving seniors and younger disabled neighbors in Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties
The Senior Companion Program can help you stay in your own home at no cost to you or to your family. If you are a senior, or if you are younger and disabled, a Senior Companion can give you the help you need.
Senior Companions are helping hundreds of frail elderly and younger disabled neighbors stay in their own familiar surroundings for as long as safely possible. A Senior Companion can help you by:
- Providing you with companionship, talking, listening, sharing experiences, playing games or cards, watching movies
- Giving you a ride and going with you to your medical appointments, the grocery store, social events and other household and personal errands.
You can trust a Senior Companion who:
- Is over 60 years of age
- Has a yearly physical evaluation, TB testing and flu shots
- Receives supplemental liability insurance
- Passed a criminal background check
- Receives pre-service and ongoing monthly companion training and yearly driver safety training.
- Knows how to be a friend!
