Cardiopulmonary Services
Respiratory Services
Available seven days a week 7 a.m. to 1 a.m., with on-call after hours services are provided for inpatients and outpatients, including the Emergency Department at SPCH. Respiratory Care Practitioners provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients of all ages. They also offer written and verbal instruction for patients and their families.
Diagnostic evaluation of the cardiac patient at SPCH includes:
- Cardiac stress tests, with and without pharmacological agents and radioisotopes,
- Electrocardiograms and
- Holter and event monitoring.
- Electrocardiology testing, and
- Echocardiography are also available by physician referral at the hospital.
