Mammography
The latest Mammography equipment is now available on the Central Oregon Coast, in Newport. Digital Mammography is screened for a second opinion with our new R² Scanner. Our professional staff is friendly and sensitive as they help prepare you for your exam and answer your questions.
The PCHD Foundation maintains a Women's Cancer Fund for women cancer patients who have uninsured needs. We also work with the Susan G. Komen Foundation (administered through the Lincoln County Health and Human Resources Department).
Screening Guidelines - The American Cancer Society recommends the following examination schedule:
- Age 35-40: Baseline mammogram
- Age 40-49: Mammogram every year or two years, depending on physician recommendation
- Age 50 and over: Mammogram every year.
