Nutritional Services
A registered dietitian is available by appointment for outpatient diet instruction. A "registered dietitian" means that you are working with a professional who earned a degree in foods, nutrition or a related science, and who has successfully completed a dietetic internship in an accredited hospital. Our Registered Dietitian has passed a national registration examination and continues to complete continuing education requirements.
Individual appointments for diabetics and their support person(s) are available with a certified diabetes instructor and registered dietitian. These individual sessions can be tailored to meet individual needs.
Nutrition care and education are available to homebound patients as requested through the Home Health Department. The Diabetes Support Group meets once per month at the hospital. Education and encouragement are available for people with diabetes and their families. Please visit our Health Information and Classes section of this website for more details.
