North Lincoln Health DistrictEstablished by voters in 1965, the North Lincoln Health District is a local political subdivision responding to health needs. The District was formed to build and operate the North Lincoln Hospital. Our goal is to assure that our residents enjoy improved health at a reasonable cost. This is reflected in our mission which is to promote the health of the community. The District is governed by a board of seven directors elected at large by the registered voters of the District to serve four-year terms. For many years after it was formed, the District operated the North Lincoln Hospital in Lincoln City. On January 1, 2001 the District successfully negotiated a 30-year lease with Samaritan Health Services to assume responsibility for the operation of the hospital and its related health care facilities. Since then, the hospital has been known as Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital. Under the terms of the lease, the District retains landlord responsibilities while Samaritan is responsible for day-to-day operations of the hospital. The District works with Samaritan and others in the community to assure the physical and financial maintenance of our health care facilities and to respond to community health needs. If you are interested in learning more about the District's role and responsibilities, have suggestions or comments, or wish to participate in our efforts to promote community health, please contact Sally Lampert, Administrative Assistant, at 996-7330. She will be happy to assist you or will forward your request to one of our board members. North Lincoln Heath District Board Members:
