Family Birthing Center

Having a baby is such a special time! That’s why Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital’s Family Birthing Center is committed to providing each of our patients with an individualized experience in a comfortable, family-centered environment.

Our birthing suites have been especially designed in a home-like manner to promote a relaxed atmosphere for you and your family. Our spacious rooms allow the whole family to stay together during the birthing process. In addition, new mothers may choose to have “rooming in” and keep their babies with them at all times while they’re in the hospital.

We also provide an education series covering prenatal to postpartum to all of our expectant families. For more information about our classes, visit: http://www.samhealth.org/health_info_and_classes/ or call 557-6208. Our Education Channel is also a great resource for parents of newborns, providing information on a variety of topics including: pregnancy, newborn and postpartum care and breastfeeding.

Visiting hours

Visiting hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Healthy children may visit the unit, as long as they don’t have a cold, fever or runny nose that might be a health threat to newborns.

The Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital staff focuses on newborn security and requires that all family members and visitors to the birthing suites access the locked department by requesting admittance at the speaker box located to the right of the department entrance.
