Sleep Services

If you're like most people, you occasionally experience a morning or mid-afternoon slump — a time when you become sleepy and just don't feel as attentive or motivated as usual.

While in most cases this drowsiness is normal and can be attributed to not enough sleep the night before, excess stress, certain medications or simply a change in the weather, for other people, a serious medical condition is to blame.

Sleep disorders including insomnia, sleep apnea and restless legs syndrome, affect millions of people each year. Some sleep disorders have even been linked to chronic diseases including hypertension and heart disease. Thankfully, medical intervention by specially trained physicians can offer patients the sleep necessary to live productive, rested lives.

The staff from the Samaritan sleep centers and labs Albany, Corvallis and Newport work collaboratively with the sleep specialists from The Corvallis Clinic Sleep Medicine Department to diagnose and treat a variety of neurological and sleep-related disorders.

"I was really concerned. His heart failure had weakened him so much and when he can’t breathe or sleep well at night it makes everything worse. I know the sleep center is very busy, but they got us in so quickly and the personnel there were the kind of people you can only hope will take care of you when you need help."
