The Pacific Communities Health District (PCHD) Foundation is sponsoring its annual “Pacesetter Gratitude Event” on Friday, January 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Best Western Agate Beach Inn.
Each year, the event recognizes donors who contribute $500 or more to the PCHD Foundation. Event attendees will enjoy a presentation entitled, “Celebrate the Center for Health Education,” featuring Richard Fox, MD. A retired physician, Dr. Fox practiced family medicine at the Samaritan Depoe Bay Clinic for many years and is the honorary chair of the Center for Health Education steering committee. The center will be built on Highway 101, adjacent to the Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital. It will become a central point for disease prevention and chronic condition management programs and activities, helping to improve quality of life and lower healthcare costs.
Founded in 1983, the PCHD Foundation is a 501(c) (3) organization. Its mission is to assist the Pacific Communities Health District, in partnership with Samaritan Pacific Health Services, in acquiring equipment, services, and education to enhance the quality of medical care and health-related programs for the 30,000 community members of our service area.
There is no charge to attend the event. Guests will also receive a complimentary wine tasting and buffet dinner. This event is open to the public and reservations are required by Friday, January 17. Admission is limited to the first 180 reservations. For reservations, call the PCHD Foundation at 541-574-1810 or 541-574-4745. For more information about the foundation, visit samhealth.org/PCHDF.
