Lincoln City this week: seminar for end-of-life planning

When it comes to end-of-life planning, the many decisions involved can be overwhelming. Join Robert Kaye, MD, of Samaritan Health Services, for a free seminar on how best to plan for end-of-life medical care.

The seminar takes place Thursday, April 10, 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital in the HPEC East room.

Pre-registration is required. Register online at or call 541-768-4887 or toll free at 1-855-873-0647.

Kaye will break down end-of-life planning tasks into manageable portions, answering questions such as:

  • Where do I start?
  • What is an advance directive — and do I need one?
  • How can I control my end-of-life care if I can’t speak for myself?
  • What is hospice care and how does it work?
  • I’m afraid; it’s all so unknown!

Refreshments and useful materials will be provided. Planning ahead for your medical care is a gift you leave to your survivors, and it allows you to enjoy life now rather than fearing the end of it.
