Johnstone received a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and completed the physician assistant program at the University of Washington in Seattle. She has more than 27 years of experience working in medicine. She was a medical service specialist in the United States Air Force and the Virginia Air Guard. Before becoming a physician assistant, she worked as a surgical assistant and technologist. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Johnstone provides evaluation, case management and patient care before, during and after surgery. She specializes in upper extremity orthopedics.
Sullivan received a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Towson University in Maryland. She has more than 14 years of experience working in hand therapy and has been a certified hand therapist since 2003.
Sullivan specializes in treating orthopedic hand injuries.
Additionally, certified physician assistant Keri Vela, who has worked at the clinic since 2008, is now providing evaluation, case management and patient care before and after surgery.
Kerri Vela received a bachelor’s degree in natural science from Concordia College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and completed her physician assistant program at Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia.
Prior to joining Samaritan Orthopedics – Luis Vela, DO, Kerri worked ten years as a physician assistant in urgent care and women’s health.
