Samaritan to move wound services to North Albany

Patients who receive wound and ostomy care at Samaritan Albany General Hospital will receive their care at a new clinic in North Albany, starting Monday, July 7.

The new Samaritan Wound Services clinic is located on the first floor of the Samaritan Medical and Diagnostics Center, 400 NW Hickory Street. This facility also houses several Samaritan primary care clinics, include a walk-in urgent care clinic, Samaritan Rebound Physical Therapy, Samaritan Valley Imaging Services and Samaritan Cancer Resource Center.

Patients who receive wound and ostomy care at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis and Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital will begin receiving their care at this new clinic later this summer – Monday, Aug. 4, for Corvallis-area patients and Monday, Sept. 8, for Lebanon-area patients.

The goal with this transition is comprehensive care at one location. Toward that end, Samaritan is recruiting for a physician, board certified in hyperbaric medicine and wound care, to serve as medical director for wound services. This physician will manage each patient’s care, from exploring any underlying health issues related to the patient’s wound, to developing a treatment plan for each patient. The medical director will work closely with the patient’s primary care provider to ensure seamless care.
