Kimberly has joined the clinic’s care team, and will provide obstetric care to low-risk patients of the clinic, as well as contraception, family planning counseling and health screenings and care for teen and adult women. She has worked as a midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner for almost three decades.
Kimberly earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of California, San Francisco, and nurse midwife certification from San Jose State University.
“I decided to become a midwife after the birth of my first daughter,” said Kimberly. “I received such wonderful care from my midwives that I wanted to be like them. Like many women, I found pregnancy and birth to be amazing, transformative and a time for personal growth. I believe that reproductive health, pregnancy and childbirth, and menopause are an essentially normal life processes through which women can be supported to maintain and optimize their own health and sense of well-being.”
In her free time, she loves to hike in nature and explore new places. She also enjoys traveling in other countries to learn about the people and their histories.
