Lindsay Kern, MD, joins Samaritan Pacific Women’s Health Group

Physician Lindsay Kern has joined Samaritan Pacific Women’s Health Group in Newport. She provides obstetric and gynecological care for women of all ages.

“From health screening and maintenance, sexual health and contraception, to childbirth and menopause, I enjoy caring for women throughout their lifetimes,” said Kern. “I want to establish long-term relationships with these patients so we could work together to meet their health needs.”

Kern specializes in vaginal surgery, treatment of prolapse and incontinence. She also offers cutting edge treatments including Essure (tubal sterilization without incisions), NovaSure (outpatient procedure to stop bleeding as an alternative to hysterectomy), vaginal hysterectomy (avoiding any abdominal incision) and laparoscopic hysterectomy (performing hysterectomy with camera and tiny incisions).

She earned a bachelor’s degree and medical degree from the University of Wisconsin and completed residency training at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. She’s board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, camping, crochet, reading and, most of all, spending time with her husband and two children.

Kern is accepting new patients. To reach Samaritan Pacific Women’s Health Group, call 541-265-3955.
