Lebanon hospital diabetes team announces upcoming support group topics

People with diabetes or pre-diabetes can learn more about managing their condition at a free monthly support group at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

The hospital’s Diabetes Education team will host the group on the first Monday of each month, from 11 a.m. to noon, at the hospital. One of the team’s educators will lead a lesson, followed by time for any questions that participants may have.

Upcoming topics include:
  • Monday, April 6: Spirituality and advance directive planning, with Chaplain Wes Sedlacek
  • Monday, May 4: Afrezza, the new inhaled insulin, with Kathy Hillary, Diabetes Education team manager
  • Monday, June 1: Life with a chronic illness, with Mitchell Heath, heart health education coordinator
