News Lebanon Hospital to Hold Safe Sitter Class in July

Kids from 11 to 13 years old, who are interested in babysitting work, can learn all they need to know at a Safe Sitter class this summer at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.

The hospital’s next class will take place on Friday, July 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $50, which includes an instruction manual, a messenger bag and other supplies. Hospital employees Roxie Snyder and Jessica Lybarger, certified program instructors, will lead the classes.

Safe Sitter is a nationally recognized babysitter education program, developed in 1980 by a pediatrician who was recognized by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Upon completion, each student will receive a completion card. They will also have access to an online newsletter which features a babysitting survey, tips and activities to do when babysitting.

Pre-registration is required by Friday, July 17. To register, or for more information, call 541-451-7047.
