Samaritan Health Services has promoted Mara McManus to the position of quality reporting manager. McManus will work with many departments across the health system to oversee government reporting programs.
The quality of patient care is a top priority for Samaritan. As Quality Reporting Manager, McManus will focus on facilitating workflow and process improvements. She will monitor Samaritan’s use of electronic health records to improve quality, safety, and efficiency, reduce health disparities and engage patients and families. Additionally, she will lead Samaritan’s participation in the Physician Quality Reporting System, a government initiative to measure the overall delivery and coordination of health care for consumers and providers.
Samaritan gathers data about patient outcomes and satisfaction to measure the quality of its physicians and facilities. The information is compiled through independent resources and made available to the public.
“This helps you to be confident that you’re receiving the quality care you need and deserve,” McManus said.
McManus joined Samaritan in 2005, working first at Samaritan Pediatrics as an office specialist, clinic coordinator and then manager. Most recently, she worked in project management for Samaritan Health Physicians Administration.
