Lebanon Hospital Auxiliary Contributes $64,000 to Hospital

Volunteers at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital have contributed more than 13,200 hours to the hospital and raised $64,000 for hospital and clinic equipment thus far in 2015.

These figures were announced last week at the hospital auxiliary’s annual luncheon. The auxiliary raises funds through sales at the hospital’s Garden Grounds espresso stand, Caring Corner gift shop, holiday poinsettia sales, various special sales throughout the year and pie sales at Lebanon’s Concerts in the Park.

Hospital-based departments and clinics are invited to apply each year for auxiliary funding for equipment. For 2015, the auxiliary funded patient care and staff equipment requests for Diabetes Education, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Refill Center, Critical Care Unit, Human Resources, Lab, Mid-Valley Medical Plaza, Professional Development and Nutrition Services.

In addition, the auxiliary has made two installments toward its $200,000 pledge to the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation’s campaign to finance the one-acre Japanese-style garden on the Samaritan Health Sciences Campus, across from the hospital. Once the auxiliary completes that pledge, it has committed $100,000 toward the foundation’s $2-million campaign for the hospital’s Emergency/Surgery expansion.

The auxiliary is currently welcoming new members and hospital volunteers. For more information, call Roxie Snyder, Volunteer Services Manager, at 541-451-7062.
