Don’t eat any food after 6 p.m. Drink eight glasses of water a day. Eat red potatoes, not white. Eat only organic foods. We’ve all heard these nutrition tidbits of advice, and many others just like these, but which are helpful and which are not?

Find out at a Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds seminar on nutrition myths, presented by Mica Ward, RD, clinical dietitian at Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital. The free program will take place Thursday, Jan. 14, 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the Health Professions Education Center on the Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital campus.

As a licensed registered dietitian, Ward has years of professional training in the science of food and nutrition. She participates in regular continuing education to help her interpret the latest research for the best understanding of nutrition facts and nutrition myths.
