Jennifer Rainey, PA-C, MPH, recently joined the Samaritan Cancer Program. Rainey assists Jonathan Gross, MD, with oncology and hematology patients in Newport and Lincoln City.
Rainey earned a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a master’s degree in global public health from George Washington University. She completed physician assistant studies at Idaho State University.
Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Rainey was a global health consultant in countries such as Haiti and Tanzania. During her time at George Washington University, she was involved with the United Nations World Food Programme, HIV and Nutrition Unit in Italy and the South African region of Population Services International. She was also a wilderness instructor for several years at Calleva Outdoor Adventure.
In her free time, Rainey enjoys horseback riding, yoga and road trips with her husband.
