SHARE

Are you interested in supporting terminally ill patients and their families? Samaritan Evergreen Hospice seeks volunteers for three programs that provide this support.

Volunteers help with a variety of activities from companionship and emotional support, caregiver respite, running errands such as helping with shopping, providing transportation as well as volunteering within the Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House. Samaritan Evergreen Hospice services patients in Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon and surrounding areas.

Volunteer training classes begin Sept. 14 and continue through Oct. 26, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Training varies by program and provides a thorough understanding of services and the volunteer’s role.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a volunteer, please call Karen McLain, at 541-812-4677. Registration is required.
