Samaritan Endocrinology and Samaritan Weight Management & Metabolic Surgery Institute are pleased to welcome Anita Abraham, MD. She offers a variety of services for bariatric patients or patients with type 2 diabetes.
Abraham earned a bachelor’s degree and a medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, Udupi District Karnataka, India. She completed residency training at St. Vincent Hospital, an internship at Christian Medical College and a fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine.
When asked what motivated her to enter health care, Abraham said, “I find medicine fascinating and have always had a desire to care for and help sick people get better. My father who is a cardiologist also helped me realize that it was possible to become a doctor with God’s help and hard work.”
In her free time Abraham enjoys caring for her family, hiking, reading, music, traveling to new places and the natural beauty of Oregon.
Abraham is accepting patients at Samaritan Endocrinology and will be available to patients enrolled in the program at Samaritan Weight Management & Metabolic Surgery Institute. For more information, call 541-768-7900.
Samaritan Health Services continually recruits highly skilled, compassionate physicians to help serve the growing need for health care in Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties.
