Certified Physician Assistant Peter Fox of Samaritan Heart & Vascular Institute recently became a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society, an international organization that works to improve the care of patients by advancing research, education and optimal health care policies and standards.
The Heart Rhythm Society is a leading resource on cardiac pacing and electrophysiology, representing health care and science professionals from more than 70 countries who specialize in cardiac rhythm disorders. Fellowship in the Heart Rhythm Society recognizes advanced training, certification and commitment to the field of electrophysiology.
“I appreciate Peter pursuing this advanced certification,” said Samaritan Heart & Vascular Institute Electrophysiologist Jeff Hsing, MD. “He is a vital member of our heart rhythm care team and this further demonstrates his dedication to our patients.”
Fox is responsible for pacemaker and cardiac defibrillator clinics and provides comprehensive follow-up care for cardiology patients. Samaritan Heart & Vascular Institute provides a range of medical and surgical treatment for heart rhythm disorders and follow-up care at clinics in Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties.
Away from the office, he provides sports physicals on a volunteer basis to students at Santiam Christian School and regularly participates in health care missions to Uganda, Mexico and Guatemala. Fox is an avid mountain biker, and enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with his family.
