Albany Clinics Welcome Dr. Welch-Pemberton

Psychologist Vanessa Welch-Pemberton, PsyD, has joined Samaritan Health Services, providing behavioral health care to patients of Samaritan Internal Medicine - Albany and Calapooia Family Medicine.

Dr. Welch-Pemberton earned a bachelor’s degree from Gonzaga University, and master’s and doctoral degrees from The School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute. Her practicum experience includes work at community mental health centers, medical clinics, and a domestic violence center.

Dr. Welch-Pemberton, most recently, operated a private practice in Poulsbo, Washington. She has been trained in numerous kinds of therapy, including acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.

In her free time she enjoys road trips, walking and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Welch-Pemberton is married and has two young children. Raised in Southwest Washington, she is a proud member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe.
