In early February, Samaritan Health Services added a vein care component to their existing wound and hyperbaric medicine clinic in North Albany, Samaritan Wound, Vein & Hyperbaric Medicine.
“It was a natural fit to add vein care to our suite of services,” said Dr. Frederic Bahnson, medical director for vein care services in North Albany and general surgeon at Samaritan Albany Surgical Associates. “The minimally invasive service will greatly benefit patients that are already undergoing wound treatment at our clinic or who need medical vein treatment.”
Vein care services are also available for patients who need medical treatment for varicose veins or other symptoms that result from venous reflux disease.
Since opening in spring 2015, Samaritan Wound, Vein & Hyperbaric Medicine – Albany has experienced rapid growth with the addition of two hyperbaric oxygen chambers as well as national accreditation from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society.
In addition to this new service in North Albany, medical and cosmetic vein care will remain available in Corvallis. Starting in late April, wound and vein care consultation will be available in Lebanon. Referral for service from a primary care provider is required.
Samaritan Wound, Vein & Hyperbaric Medicine – Albany is located at 400 Hickory St. NW, Suite 101. For more information, visit samhealth.org/HBOT or call 541-812-3360.
