Michelle Eckroth, MD, FAAP has joined Samaritan Health Services, providing pediatric integrative medicine consultations at Heartspring Wellness Center.
Dr. Eckroth earned a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Riverside and a medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She completed residency training in pediatrics at Dartmouth-Mary Hitchcock Medical Center and is currently a fellow at University of Arizona Integrative Medicine fellowship program. Dr. Eckroth is also a candidate for certification as a functional medicine practitioner at the Institute for Functional Medicine.
Her training in integrative and functional medicine will accompany more than 20 years of practice in pediatrics.
“With joy I return to the practice of pediatrics in the mid-Willamette Valley,” said Dr. Eckroth. “As an integrative pediatrician, I will be assisting parents in protecting and preserving their children’s health by making better informed dietary, lifestyle choices, and avoidance of environmental toxins in addition to bring a holistic approach to the treatment of the chronic diseases of childhood.”
In her free time, Dr. Eckroth plays the viola in the Willamette Symphony Orchestra, enjoys tandem mountain biking with her husband, and has a passion for architectural design.
