Lauren Hansen, MD, joins Samaritan Health Services, providing care to patients of Samaritan Mid-Valley Orthopedics in Albany.
Dr. Hansen earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, and a medical degree from Albany Medical College. She completed residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Tufts Medical Center and a fellowship in sports medicine at Tahoe Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. She is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Originally from Washington, Dr. Hansen is excited to return to the Pacific Northwest to practice medicine. “I look forward to working with a team that is dedicated to excellent patient care” said Dr. Hansen.
Experienced in wilderness medicine, Dr. Hansen has both competed in and directed medical wilderness adventure races. She was a co-founder of the Medical Wilderness Adventure Race Northeast and is an advisor for the Tahoe Challenge.
In her free time, Dr. Hansen enjoys volunteering as a team physician for the US Ski Team, riding horses, hiking, mountain biking and spending time with her family.
