Lynn Bentson, MD, of Samaritan Internal Medicine - Albany, was recently awarded the Oregon Medical Association Presidential Citation for her service to the association.
Dr. Bentson was honored for her efforts in supporting the Oregon Medical Association’s continuing medical education programming, and reports that Dr. Bentson invested countless hours of her own time overseeing the continuing medical education accreditation program. In addition, she has served as the chair of the association’s Institutional Accreditation Committee since 2012, and chair of the Education Committee since 2015.
“Whether pouring over site materials or traveling around the state conducting interviews, Dr. Bentson has served the OMA and her professional community with great distinction,” said Robert Orfaly, MD, outgoing president of the Oregon Medical Association.
The Presidential Citation is presented only occasionally to a person who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in service to the professional community of the state’s physicians and physician assistants.
At Samaritan Internal Medicine – Albany, Dr. Bentson encourages and assists her patients to be responsible for their own health. In addition to volunteering with the Oregon Medical Association, Dr. Bentson also volunteers at Albany InReach Services, providing care to uninsured and underserved individuals in the Albany community.
