Lebanon Emergency Department Opens New Patient Rooms

By Ian Rollins

The Emergency Department at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital has finished another phase of its expansion. The department now has 12 patient rooms in service.

This latest phase included six new patient rooms, three of which will be used for patients who need extra supervision.

Renovation has begun on the final rooms, which will be complete by early summer. Once the project is complete, the department will have 21 private patient rooms, nearly double the number from when the project began in 2016.

The Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation is near the finish line in its campaign to raise $2 million toward the Emergency and recent Surgery department expansions. The foundation must raise about $74,000 more before the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust closes out the campaign with its $150,000 top-off grant.
