If you cannot make the drive to Portland for the 2018 Breast Cancer Issues Conference in mid-March, you may watch the conference as it unfolds at a free simulcast in Newport.
The Center for Health Education, Newport, will host the free live simulcast on Saturday, March 17, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Topics being discussed include emerging research and treatment options, breast cancer risk reduction and quality of life issues.
Surgical oncologist Kathleen Dunham will keynote the event, discussing how bias, belief and the emotional aspects of a cancer diagnosis shape our decision-making and how to improve communication and reasoning to help future decisions.
