Lebanon Hospital Foundation Awards $238,000 For Patient Care

Earlier this spring, the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees awarded $238,226 in allocations to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital departments and off-site facilities. The allocations will go toward renovations, patient care programs and equipment.

The allocations match dollar-for-dollar the amount employees pledge in the Samaritan Employee Caring Campaign each October. Employees pledged more than $142,000 in the 2017 campaign, and the foundation went beyond that amount with the 2018 allocations.

Departments receiving allocations include:

  • Patient Assistance: Funds for non-cancer patients
  • Park Street Clinic: Fax/copy machine
  • Main Street Family Medicine: Fax/copy machine
  • Sweet Home Family Medicine: Fax/copy machine
  • Samaritan Lebanon Health Center – Pediatrics: Vision screening equipment, funds for Reach Out and Read childhood literacy program and funds for Power of Produce booth at Lebanon Downtown Farmer’s Market
  • Physical Rehabilitation: Maternity and Sacroiliac Joint Supports
  • Samaritan Lebanon Health Center – OB/GYN: Colposcope
  • Girod Birth Center: Family lounge remodel
  • Samaritan Lebanon Health Center: Window tinting
  • Professional Development: Simulation program
  • Endoscopy: New window coverings for patient privacy
  • Emergency Department: Supply storage room doors
  • Samaritan Cancer Resource Center: Funds for That’s My Farmer nutrition program and supportive services
  • Diabetes Education: Funds for 2019 Diabetes Day
  • Surgery: Safe patient positioning equipment
  • Critical Care Unit: New privacy blinds
  • Imaging: Piggostat replacement parts and conference chairs
  • ArtsCare Services: Funds for program
  • Sterile Processing: Department renovation
  • Environmental Services: Cordless cleaning system
  • Samaritan Family Medicine Resident Clinic – Lebanon: OB ultrasound unit
  • Nutrition Services: Interior upgrade to Rosie’s Café
  • Samaritan Evergreen Hospice: Funds for patient massage
  • Emenhiser Center: Recliners for infusion patients
  • Chaplain Services: Clothes for the Clothes Closet and funds for prayer shawl yarn
  • Lifeline services: Funds for scholarships
  • Samaritan Cancer Program: SurvivorFit funds for east Linn County cancer patients
