Samaritan Health Services is inviting non-profit organizations in Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties to apply for Social Accountability funding. Deadline for full proposals is Monday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m.
A complete proposal must address one of the goals and priorities, include a project description, identify how the project will address health equity, identify the target population the project will address and have measurable outputs.
Samaritan’s goals and priorities, decided on a county-by-county basis, are as follows:
Benton and Linn counties
- Goal 1: Healthy Families – Increase physical activity, fitness and access to nutritious foods for children and families.
Priorities –Poverty and food insecurity - Goal 2: Greater Access - Increase access to medical, dental and mental health supports and services in the community.
Priorities -Access to medical care, dental and mental/behavioral health care, chronic disease, and substance use prevention and treatment - Goal 3: Better Networks - Increase social supports for families.
Priorities – Homelessness, housing and transportation - Goal 4: Healthy Kids - Increase services and supports for children.
Priorities - Child abuse and/or neglect - Goal 5: Healthy Teens - Increase services and supports for adolescents.

- Benton and Linn counties: Friday, Aug. 23, at 9 a.m. at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, conference rooms A-D
- Lincoln County: Friday, Aug. 23 at 2 p.m., at Gleneden Beach Fire Department, 6445 Gleneden Beach Loop
