Samaritan’s first ever virtual 5K, 10K and half marathon will take place Sept. 10-27 and wouldn’t be possible without support from the community. The $40 entry fee to participate in the race will benefit Samaritan Health Services’ Patient Support Program. Currently, 486 community members are benefiting from this program through assistance with expenses such as medical bills, transportation, prescriptions, nutritional supplements and groceries. In 2019, the program distributed $45,000 in assistance in Benton, Lincoln and Linn counties.
