James “Jamie” Knight, MD, and Tomer Pelleg, MD, will start seeing patients at the clinic in the coming months. Both will also treat patients in the intensive care unit at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
Patients from across the region with respiratory conditions including COPD, asthma, lung cancer and bronchial conditions may be referred to the clinic.
“Pulmonology is a growing need in our community,” said Tammy Aman, clinic manager. “There has been a significant increase in the need for pulmonology care for hospital patients. As we hired to fill that need, it was a good opportunity to provide an outpatient service to our patients and community as well.”
“Our pulmonary professionals provide expertise in a caring and conscientious manner to build a healthier community,” said Brian Delmonaco, MD, medical director for pulmonary and critical care medicine for Samaritan Medical Group.
Samaritan will continue recruiting physicians for this team to expand services over the coming months.
