Family Nurse Practitioner Molly Soltero has joined Samaritan Family Medicine Resident Clinic - Lebanon. She provides primary care for people of all ages.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Oregon Health & Science University and a master’s degree and certification as a family nurse practitioner at Georgetown University.
After working in nursing for Samaritan for 15 years, Soltero saw the need for primary care providers.
“I was ready to continue with my studies, and the timing was right with my family to pursue becoming a family nurse practitioner,” she said.
Soltero wants patients to feel safe and comfortable talking to her. She uses a shared decision-making model.
“I believe that it is important for patients to participate in their care,” she said.
Soltero is a passionate advocate for providing evidence-based, gender-affirming care to people who are LGBTQ+.
“Primary care and health promotion require an ongoing trusting, respectful relationship,” she said. “I will provide compassionate, comprehensive care.”
She has lived in the Willamette Valley her whole life, and she is raising two teenage sons and two “quirky” dogs.
Soltero chose to remain with Samaritan because the health system is focused on the community and the patient experience.
“I feel that Samaritan is working to improve access to quality health care,” she said. “I am excited to be part of the team.”
Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with family and doing outdoor activities, including hiking, gardening, camping, kayaking and skiing.
“I’m also a huge fan of traveling to new places,” she said.
She is accepting new patients and can be reached at Samaritan Family Medicine Resident Clinic – Lebanon at 541-451-6960.
