Family & Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Allean Johnson has joined Samaritan Hematology & Oncology Consultants through a collaboration with Oregon Oncology Specialists. She sees patients with all types of cancer and blood disorders in Newport and Lincoln City.
She earned a bachelor’s degree at University of New Mexico and a master’s in nursing at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She earned certification as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Johnson said that it is a privilege to be part of a medical team caring for patients during a difficult time.
“To have a patient place their trust in me is humbling,” she said.
Johnson chose her career because she wanted to use her education and experience to deliver scientific evidence-based medicine to improve the quality of people’s lives.
After living in Texas, she is adjusting to her new home in Oregon.
“I’m loving it! The beauty of Oregon is astounding,” she said.
Away from the office, Johnson enjoys being outdoors, hiking, reading and exercise.
