Samaritan Welcomes Deborah "Debbie" Litberg, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker Deborah “Debbie” Litberg has joined Samaritan Lincoln City Medical Center. She specializes in treating children and adolescents with anxiety disorders, including trauma and stress, as well as mood disorders.

Litberg earned a bachelor’s degree at California State University, Northridge and a master’s degree in social work at University of Southern California.

She was inspired to become a social worker through advocating for the deaf community on behalf of her son who has hearing loss.

“This high-risk population is significantly underserved in mental health,” she said.

During her career, she has helped to create support programs for the deaf community and training for health care professionals to better serve their needs. She now focuses on solution-focused therapy for behavioral challenges.

Litberg values being genuine and accepting.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, doing yoga and spending time with family.

“I’m a Coastie through and through,” she said. “I spend much time being mindful on the beach.”

Litberg is accepting new patients and can be reached at Samaritan Lincoln City Medical Center at 541-994-9191.
