Internist Mychall Raymond Pagulayan-Sy, MD, has joined Samaritan Medical Clinics - North Albany. He provides primary care for adults.
He earned a bachelor’s degree at University of California Irvine and a medical degree at University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. He completed residency training at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Pagulayan-Sy said his family and upbringing inspired his career in medicine and his decision to specialize in internal medicine.
“My grandparents always pushed me to be my best,” he said.
When he was growing up, his parents ran a home for older adults.
“During my training, I found myself gravitating towards caring for senior adults,” he said.
After doing his residency at Samaritan, he decided to stay and establish his practice.
“I love the work culture and the community,” he said.
Away from the office, Dr. Pagulayan-Sy enjoys dining and cooking.
“I also enjoy high-adrenaline things, like snowboarding and motorsports,” he said.
