Emergency Care Nursing Opportunities

The emergency nursing internship is an education and training program designed to help nurses build their knowledge, skills,and competence in emergency nursing. This comprehensive internship program will prepare you for a nursing career within our emergency care team.

Program Details

With a limited number of graduates accepted to the program each year, now is your chance to continue your education in a fast-paced, collaborative, and supportive environment and receive a great benefit and wage package while you learn. The emergency nurse internship is a six-week course that incorporates classroom, simulation lab and focused clinical experiences. The internship includes:

  • Cardiac rhythm interpretation course.
  • Emergency Nursing Core Curriculum supported by the Emergency Nurses Association.
  • Assaultive crisis intervention course with physical maneuvers class.
  • Simulation lab experiences to enforce classroom concepts.
  • Clinical practice with focused objectives related to emergency care concepts.
  • New Grad Transition to Practice program.

Applications for the summer program are generally accepted from April to June, with the program starting in August. Applications for the winter program are generally accepted from November to December, with the program starting in February.
