About Foster Reservoir

Just east of the city of Sweet Home, Foster Reservoir is a popular boating destination for mid-Willamette Valley residents, providing a pleasing Cascade foothills backdrop for a variety of water recreation activities.

Measuring more than three miles in length, the reservoir was created in the late 1960s with the construction of the Foster Dam.

Unique to Foster Reservoir is an annual event called Mud Fest where four-wheeling enthusiasts get to play in the mud with their trucks when the reservoir is drained for the winter.

Regularly stocked, Foster offers good fishing and plenty of space for water skiers and other water activities.
