About Multnomah Falls

At 620 feet, Oregon’s Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the state. Unusually cold weather can freeze the plummeting water into a majestic icicle.

A trail from famous Multnomah Falls Lodge climbs to Benson Bridge across the lower cascade, then zigzags to the top.

Benson Bridge was crafted by Italian stone masons. Multnomah Falls Lodge was built in 1925 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Every type of rock found in the Columbia River Gorge is represented in the lodge.
