The sports performance programs at Samaritan Athletic Medicine provide training geared towards the individual. With a focus on the individual goals of each athlete, whether young or old, we provide the tools and training needed to be their best.
We have offer a variety of training options to fit the schedules and needs of the elite athlete to weekend warrior.
Strive for Progress, Not Perfection
The Functional Movement Assessment is a proven movement screening tool that identifies your injury risk. Seven fundamental movement patterns are evaluated to assess mobility, stability and strength. There are 21 total possible points, if the score is 14 or less you may be more likely to incur an injury during your fitness or activity program.
Based on your results, you will be given a personalized corrective exercise program to improve your movement skill and ability. Improving on fundamental movement patterns will strengthen your foundation of movement competency and efficiency, allowing you train more effectively, play more vigorously and prevent injury.
Our return to sport program is designed for athletes who have just completed physical therapy but are not ready for aggressive performance training. Our training approach is designed to properly and safely transition you back to your sport through a comprehensive, personalized training program. Our team works closely with your doctors and physical therapists to determine when you’re ready to return to playing your sport.

- Strength training that is focused on the particular demands of your sports
Six people per group maximum | 60-minute sessions (in-season) | 90-minute sessions (off-season)
Our athletic programs provide training tailored to each athlete’s needs. A sound exercise program maximizes an athlete’s strengths and minimizes their weaknesses. With a focus on building a strong foundation of speed, strength, and agility, each athlete is prepared for any scenario they encounter in their sport.
Movement quality is essential for optimal athletic performance. Every athlete who trains at our facility is put through a comprehensive movement screen which allows us to determine if the athlete exhibits any instability, asymmetry, or movement dysfunction. From there, a comprehensive training program is then designed to improve movement quality, decrease injury risk and promote superior athletic performance.
Athletic Performance Training sessions incorporate the following:
- Dynamic warm up
- Linear and multidirectional speed and agility development
- Plyometrics
- Core strengthening
- Explosive power using the Olympic lifts
- Strength training
- Metabolic conditioning
One-on-one or semi-private | 60-minute sessions
Personal Training offers individualized training programs regardless of age, ability level, or experience with exercise. Whether you are an experienced athlete looking to gain an edge on the competition, or someone completely new to exercise, we have a training program specifically designed to meet your needs. Our programs are also perfect for those with variable schedules – including medical professionals, executives, or busy parents.

60-minute sessions
Our golf conditioning program is a great opportunity to improve your performance. The program is designed to improve strength, power, stability and flexibility through exercises specifically targeting golf performance. Our exercise interventions will have you hitting with more power and driving the ball further than you ever have before.
Areas of focus include:
- Joint flexibility and stability of the ankles, hips, spine, and shoulders
- Core strength, stability and rotational power development
- Upper and lower extremity explosive power and strength
- Increased body awareness and motor control
Working with an experienced trainer with extensive knowledge in biomechanics, motor control, and exercise science will help you improve your golf game and become a better overall athlete.
Eight people per group maximum | 60-minute sessions
Our Adult Group Functional Training program is tailored specifically to the needs of the adult training client. Whether your goal is weight loss, sports performance or simply to get in a great workout, our programs cater to adults of all fitness levels. Training will be in a group setting where we focus on improving soft tissue quality and flexibility, increasing upper and lower body strength and power, enhancing core stability and balance, and improving cardiovascular fitness.
