To prevent travel-related infections and other travel-related problems, Samaritan International Travel Clinic provides pre-travel advice to prospective travelers. Additionally, up-to-date infectious disease and related resources are available to provide itinerary-specific recommendations and vaccinations.

Your Pre-Travel Appointment

Pre-travel counseling is available by appointment. Please schedule your appointment at least one month before planned departure. Once appointment is scheduled pre-travel forms will be loaded into mychart. You can expedite your appointment by digitally filling out the mychart forms. If not using the digital option please bring the printed pre-travel forms to your appointment.

At your pre-travel appointment, we will review your itinerary and discuss ways to prevent food and water-borne illnesses such as:

  • Hepatitis A.
  • Typhoid fever.
  • Traveler’s diarrhea.

We will also discuss ways to avoid insect-borne illnesses such as:

  • Malaria.
  • Dengue fever.
  • Yellow fever.
  • Japanese encephalitis.

We will also cover any other endemic bacterial, parasitic or viral infectious unique to your itinerary and administer appropriate vaccinations, including yellow fever. We can also discuss your physical safety and political environment of your destination.
