Samaritan Employee Caring Campaign

Each year, Samaritan employees support local patients, families and communities in the mid-Willamette Valley and on the central Oregon coast with gifts through the Samaritan Employee Caring Campaign. These gifts help fund important programs and initiatives throughout our hospitals and clinics that greatly improve patient care.

Pacific Communities Health District Foundation Women’s Giving Circle

The mission of the Pacific Communities Health District Foundation’s Women’s Giving Circle is to build a community that supports the health and well-being of women and children. Each woman donates $250 a year and the funds are pooled to make a tremendous impact. A few examples include:

  • Investing in two portable scales for Samaritan Pacific Home Health and Hospice to help weigh patients every few days.
  • Helping a woman with a rare form of cancer travel out-of-state for life saving treatment.
  • Providing a hotel room for a young pregnant woman who was homeless while waiting for permanent housing.
  • Purchasing playground equipment to help local kids develop healthy lifestyles to stave off obesity.
