This free six-session workshop helps those with chronic conditions learn how to take control of their health. Participants build skills and confidence for managing health, staying active and enjoying life. Adults who have diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, arthritis, asthma, COPD or any other chronic condition will learn how to:
- manage medications,
- fight fatigue and frustration,
- deal with depression,
- start an exercise program,
- eat well,
- manage stress,
- help control pain,
- handle emotions
- meet goals.
This class takes place Jan 14, 21, 28, Feb 4, 11, and 18.
Classes are available in Benton, Linn and Lincoln counties. This workshop is for adults, ages 18 and older. For more information, call 866-243-7747.
